Dips & Drips Volunteer Liability Release & Agreement
This Volunteer Agreement and Liability Release (“Agreement”) is made between Dips & Drips LLC (“Dips & Drips”) and the undersigned volunteer (“Volunteer”). By signing below, the Volunteer acknowledges, understands, and agrees to the following terms and conditions:
1. Nature of Volunteer Role
Volunteering at Dips & Drips is unpaid and provided strictly for fun, community, and experience.
Volunteering does not create an employment relationship of any kind.
If an individual desires paid work, they must apply for a separate paid staff position; volunteering will not be considered employment.
2. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability
The Volunteer acknowledges that sauna and ice bath activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to heat exposure, cold exposure, slips, falls, and other health or safety concerns.
The Volunteer assumes full responsibility for their own health, safety, and actions while volunteering.
The Volunteer agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Dips & Drips, its owners, managers, and affiliates, from any claims, injuries, damages, or liabilities that may arise from participation as a volunteer.
The Volunteer also accepts responsibility for any guests they bring during their shift.
3. Guest Policy
Volunteers may bring guests; however, all guests must pay the $15 guest pass fee and sign a waiver before use.
Guests are not permitted free access through a volunteer.
Allowing free entry or bypassing payment will result in immediate termination of volunteer privileges.
4. Volunteer Booking & Attendance
Volunteers may book shifts up to 2 weeks in advance and no later than 24 hours before the shift.
Volunteers must arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled session.
Each booked session is considered 1 hour + 15 minutes (to include setup, supervision, and cleanup).
The 6:45 PM closing shift requires extended cleanup responsibilities; early departure must be approved by management.
Volunteers may cancel or reschedule with at least 12 hours’ notice.
5. Volunteer Perks
Volunteers receive 60 minutes of sauna/ice access after completing each shift.
Usage must be directly after the shift and may not overlap with active desk coverage.
Volunteers may coordinate with one another to enjoy sessions back-to-back, but a volunteer must always remain at the desk during operating hours.
6. Code of Conduct
Volunteers must remain professional, dry, and clothed (no shirtless coverage at the desk) until all guests are checked in and waivers completed.
Volunteers may use sauna/ice after their shift is complete (or once check-ins are done if cleared by manager), but must remain professional on-site.
Consistent cleanliness is required:
Spray benches and floors.
Vacuum tubs and surrounding area.
Ensure sauna and ice baths are properly maintained after every shift.
7. Disciplinary Policy
A strike may be issued for:
No-shows (failure to appear without notice).
Dirty complaints from customers (failure to clean sauna/ice areas).
Privacy or inappropriate conduct complaints, including behavior captured on camera.
3 strikes = removal from the volunteer program and disqualification from future employment consideration.
The 3-strike system is a guideline for grace, not permission to fail three times.
Any severe offense may result in immediate termination, regardless of prior record.
8. Acknowledgement
By signing, the Volunteer acknowledges and agrees that:
They are serving as a volunteer only and not as an employee.
They are responsible for their own safety and the safety of guests under their care during shifts.
They will abide by all rules and expectations listed above.
They understand they may enjoy 60 minutes of sauna/ice access after each completed shift.
Dips & Drips reserves the right to revoke volunteer status at any time for violation of this Agreement.
